Last five observations
- To Harrogate Theatre Trust production of My Gentleman Pip, by Jack Sherman and Geoffrey Venis, Grand Opera House, Harrogate, 3rd - 14th December 1968: “I was in this production as a teenager in the chorus. I took over as chorus leader when the original leader fell a rostrum on the opening night and broke his arm. At the time I thought it thrilling tho on retrospect it was a derivative of the success of Lionel Barts adaptations, albeit with Ned Sherrington and Caryll Brahms as the adaptors. Some great numbers – especially Wemmicks “Portable Property”. Brian Howard’s direction was impeccable (as always).”
