‘The Country Wife’, being the most infamous of the Restoration comedies, was presented in full romp by the Jadis Shadows team who will be bringing fresh savour to the farce and sexual connotations of the play; while placing a focus on the many similarities between 17th Century London and modern Britain today.
Packed full of elaborate characterisation and high farce this is a fast paced piece designed to delight and entertain.
Sexual freedom, hypocrisy, addiction to fashion and consumerism are all themes Jadis Shadows highlighted throughout this flamboyant period piece.
