The Collector
The West End run was a limited season of five weeks. This was the last show to occupy the St Martin’s Theatre before THE MOUSETRAP began its decades-long tenure.
“Worse news: the St Martin’s has been continuing its policy of a disaster a month by bringing in John Fowles’ THE COLLECTOR from Swindon in a production of mind-boggling awfulness apparently constructed to give Marianne Faithfull her chance at a leading dramatic role. She missed it, and I can’t help wishing that I had too.” – Sheridan Morley, REVIEW COPIES (1974)
