The Cave Man!
For the first three days at Portsmouth, Kate Cutler, cast as Mrs Armitage, was ill, so Kitty de Legh played the part and Edie Moore filled in as Jane Quayle.
At Portsmouth and Eastbourne, Kitty de Legh was credited under her married name of ‘Mrs Caleb Porter’. Also at Portsmouth and Eastbourne, the play itself was entitled SIMPLE SIMON.
