Hello. This event was not a play, as you state, nor is the cast list you show totally correct. I am currently listing a programme and full cast list for sale on eBay. It was as someone else has noted, a benefit show on Sunday 17 March 1985. I’ll be happy to show you scans of the pages if you give me an email address to send them to, or you can search ebay for the item next week . Peggy Ashcroft was billed in the programme but not in the slip, suggesting that she did not appear. Here is the cast list as I see it: Judi Dench, Ian McKellan, John Thaw, Richard Griffiths, Zoe Wanamaker, Miles Anderson, Ian Charleson, Jane Lapotaire, Nigel Hawthorne, Eleanor Bron, Michael Williams, Henry Goodman, Sheila Hancock, Joe Melia, Alan Howard, Barbara Leigh-Hunt, Sheila Steafel, Daniel Massey, Roger Rees, Conrad Asquith, Michael Bertenshaw, Helen Brammer, Geoffrey Freshwater, Paul Greenwood, Allan Hendrick, Anthony Higgins, Carmen du Sautoy, Richard O’Callaghan, Raymond Platt, cellist Andrea Hess, pianist and composer Jim Parker, Tony Church, Paul Clayton, Lesley Duff, Esmond Knight, Estelle Kohler, Doyle Richmond, Ian Talbot, Stephen Moore, Anthony O’Donnell, Mark Warman, Jane Carr, and actors from the production of Nicholas Nickleby.
