Dracula
This adaptation, set in 1924 and attributed to Bram Stoker, was concocted by director Roger Redfarn and star Peter Wyngarde in ten days flat, when the rights to an existing version were unexpectedly withheld. (‘New fangled horrors’, Birmingham Daily Post 27th March 1975, page 22.) Redfarn and Wyngarde took no credit.
The Sunderland week featured no performance on Wednesday 2nd April. (Newcastle Journal 1st April 1975, page 2.)
