    UNICORN PLAYERS IN HILARIOUS COMEDY
After a slow and somewhat unpromising opening few minutes “ Come Back Peter ” by A. P. Dearsley quickly warms up into an entertaining family comedy. The Unicorn Players who are presenting it at Palace Avenue Theatre, Paignton, this week, made the most of the play’s hilarious situations. A retired couple find their tiny bungalow being used as a hotel by their married sons and daughters which leads to a situation in which there is plenty of scope for hilarity. Howard Lamb plays the muchsuffering father who speaks seldom but when he does it is with both wit and wisdom, and Patricia Ivey gives her usual competent performance as his wife. The players make good use of the often extremely amusing dialogue and last night the laughs came easily and continually, particularly when James Irwin was on hand. He was excellent as the bright and breezy fellow invited home for the week-end by one of the family. Others in the cast were: Sally Layng. Pauline Keen, Peter Mallory, Neil Phelps, David Fleming, Rosemary Crowson and James Mooney. Produced by Edmund S.Phelps, the play continues all this week.
