The Scottsboro Boys

The true story of nine African American teenagers who were wrongly accused of the rape of two white women on a US passenger train in 1931. The boys were trialled; some were sentenced to death and others to a life long prison term. The trial sparked a huge public outcry from the African American community about the lack of a fair trial. The two women admitted to falsely accusing the boys of rape.
