Daddy Cool
This specific production does not yet have a description, but the play itself does:
The worst production to disgrace a stage anywhere? I wondered beforehand how they might pull the variant songs of Boney M into a single play. By the break it was apparent that they had not even tried to. Quite ridiculous storyline with a cast quite obviously ashamed to be involved, it seemed as if a rich man’s child had been given carte blanche to put on a play, having had no previous training or skills in doing so. Songs were crowbarred in with no relevance. The audience gradually grew confident enough to laugh at the actors, not with them. Most left at break (it was a Saturday mstinee and barely a third full to begin with). At one point an actress came onstage to inform that due to problems the theatre would be going dark after this performance. Not a shock.
