The Gate Revue
The production originated at the Gate Theatre and then transferred to the Ambassadors but its run was interrupted for a few weeks by the outbreak of World War II. When it transferred four members of the cast had commitments elsewhere so they were replaced and further cast members were added. When it reopened after the compulsory closure Michael Wilding and Alicia Marlowe didn’t return. Carol Lynne appeared at the Gate but only joined the cast at the Ambassadors for the re-opening.
