Party Manners
A TV production of this play was broadcast by the BBC on Sunday 1st October, with the scheduled repeat performance (on Thursday the 5th) being “cancelled … after criticism that it was anti-Government in character”. (‘Chit Chat’, The Stage 12th October 1950, page 8.) The TV cast was the same as the subsequent West End one, with the exception of Polly Elwes, who played Susan.
