(Western Morning News) No Tears for Carling.After being closed for a week Torquay Pavilion reopened last night with a new play, “ No for Carling,” Gerald Anstruther. It is an exciting play centring in murder, with the suspense well maintained. The character of Steffy Millington, played by Miss Judy Kelly, is an outstanding psychological study of a woman who deliberately puts herself under an evil influence, believing herself strong- enough to resist.it. There are many unexpected situations, and a big surprise in the last scene. Heading the cast with Miss Kelly is Miss Anne Crawford, and in support are Mr. Sydney King, Mr. Gordon Edwards, Mr. George Bishop, Mr. Sydney Benson, Mr. Kenneth Warrington, Mr. Thomas Gallagher, and Miss Viola Johnstone.
