The Tunnel

During the Siege of Sarajevo, with the university closed because of snipers and bombs, theatre students and a professor chose to break back in. They decided to continue with the preparations for the final year actors to graduate. Despite the ever-present danger they rehearsed daily and eventually found an audience, also willing to risk lives to attend performances. The Tunnel explores memories and interviews today with those students of 25 years ago, to recreate their vision, their need, their reliance on theatre, even or especially in time of war.
The production will last approximately 90 minutes
