The Duke’s Drum
The aim of the project was to extend the Duke’s Playhouse work beyond Lancaster into areas of North Lancashire and South Cumbria which, due to lack of public transport, have no opportunity to enjoy professional live entertainment.
The Setting: Tonight is the last night of The King’s Own Regiment’s existence as an independent regiment, after a farewell dinner, the regimental jokers get up on stage to entertain the lads, “Goodbye to the Regiment” is their theme in a mixture of humour, honesty, regret, music and singing.
