This specific production does not yet have a description, but the play itself does:
David Hare’s first major success, originally produced in 1970 by the Hampstead Theatre Club, it transferred to the Royal Court and won the Evening Standard award for most promising new playwright. The play is a hard-hitting and funny portrayal of an attempt by the staff of a girls’ boarding school to put the more extreme Women’s Lib theories into practice by establishing a community without men.
