Opera Sins

Scotland’s young opera talent perform at the Fringe 2010 following previous highly acclaimed sell-out productions. From Handel through Mozart to Janacek, this talented university society has tackled a wide range of operatic works. This year, they express the sordid and hidden world of the unscrupulous indulgences of man. ESO’s latest venture portrays lust, envy, wrath, pride, gluttony, sloth and greed. In under an hour, see the seven deadly sins delivered through some of the most dramatic moments in opera. ‘ESO offers an enjoyable musical haven’ (BGT, Fringe 2009); ‘Musically it is superb… a vocally stunning performance’ (Herald, 2009).
