Sordid Lives

Peggy’s dead, killed after tripping over her lover’s wooden legs in a seedy motel room. The funeral promises to be an ordeal, so a bad time for her sister to quit smoking. Her daughters won’t quit fighting, and her grandson won’t quit being gay. Meanwhile, her son’s been institutionalised, due to a severe case of homosexuality – will he get out in time to be the best-dressed woman at the church? There’s big hair and even bigger laughs in Del Shores’s hard-hitting black comedy about white trash. Think Joe Orton with a Texas accent.
