The Vertical Hour
Nadia Blye is a former war correspondent turned political scientist at Yale. Meeting her English boyfriend’s father, Oliver, for the first time at his remote house in Shropshire, she is immediately forced to defend her interventionist stance on the 2003 Iraq War. The fiery debate gradually unravels to reveal two complex characters, both carrying their own burdens of the past. Questions of the political, the personal, and the private pervade this subtle exploration of passion and war. From the author of ‘Stuff Happens’ and ‘The Power of Yes’.
