Slacker’s Guide to Western Theatre
‘Slackers’ is a comic escapade through the history of theatre from the Greeks to contemporary playwrights. We follow five students who have adopted a revision technique with a twist: they narrate the whole history of drama through the medium of mockery, parody and spoof. What follows is a journey from Aeschylus to Shakespeare; from Chekhov to Pinter; we visit every form of theatre imaginable and then take the mickey out of it. If anything, it’ll be funnier than that production of ‘The Trial’ you were considering.
