(No) Living Room
In a surreal performance entirely set in virtual reality, alKamie playfully empties the complexities of contemporary life into their unique cinematic quirky physical theatre. On-stage reality is twisted into sublime visual poetry, as the character is catapulted through bizarre dream-like worlds to a choice and two endings. In escaping media-touted economic gloom and with apathy and despair haunting her, she tumbles from her living room. However, in dream worlds we often find things other than those we expect… but in the end, what living room will be left for her?
