Cake
‘Cake’ is set at an eternal tea party where the characters are caught in a nightmare hell of their own making. They represent stereotypes loosely based around the characters in Carroll’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’. This visually stunning piece concentrates on challenging the audience’s views, both socially and biblically, whilst playing with tension through the conflicting objectives of the characters. Wonderland revolves as the sugar dissolves; conflict, touch and a hint of thigh, until the table isn’t the only thing to get laid. Breathless, we wipe the stains from the table cloth.
