Long Live the King
Meena – Indian, heavily pregnant – touches down in Australia the day Elvis Presley dies. Both events, equally shocking, her vagina clenched against the overwhelming grief, she braces herself for the afterlife in the new world. A rockin’ and rollickin’ tale of spice, soul and sunburn. Ansuya Nathan (‘Feasting on Flesh’, 2008) is directed by Guy Masterson, multiple Fringe First awardee and director of last year’s smash hit, the Olivier Award winning ‘Morecambe’, the sell-out ‘Austen’s Women’ (2009) and this year’s ‘I, Elizabeth’.
