Imagine You Are Everyone
Imagine You Are Everyone… is a theatrical response by director Stewart Melton to the recent arrest and continued persecution of Ai Weiwei. Inspired by Ai’s subversive use of Twitter, an immense cast of 139 ordinary citizens will voice the shout outs, retweets, heated discussions and random interactions of our linked in, online society. Combining movement and poetry, this unique performance event asks: What is freedom of expression?
