On 12th June 1964, during rehearsals for this show at London’s Vaudeville Theatre, Paul Carpenter died in one of the dressing rooms. His role was taken over by Ronan O’Casey (husband of Louie Ramsay). (The Stage 18th June 1964, page 14.)
