A play by J Lee Thompson
In 1935 J Lee Thompson wrote a play called “Double Error” which was presented at the Fortune Theatre. “Murder Without Crime” appears to have a similar plot and could be considered a revised version. The 1950 film version, also called “Murder Without Crime” and directed by J Lee Thompson as his first film, is quoted by some sources as being an adaptation of “Double Error”.
