Happy Family
This revival ran by itself from 9th to 25th March, then played in repertoire, on alternate weeks, with an already established Peter Bridge production of ON APPROVAL (qv). HAPPY FAMILY was withdrawn prematurely because “it has proved financially impossible to run two plays in repertory in a theatre the size of the St Martin’s, when one is not playing to capacity.” (‘Chit Chat’, The Stage 13th April 1967, page 10.)
