Like A Virgin – CANCELLED
Following the success of his production of Look Back in Anger with a cast all under 19, the group will now do two nights of Gordon Steel’s lesser-known tragicomedy, Like A Virgin. It follows the life of sixteen-year-old Angela (Keshia Marie Howard) as she enjoys the teenage life with her best friend Maxine (Megan Rose O’Boyle). The two have the ambition of being singers, basing themselves on their idol Madonna – with minimum success! When Angela receives some terrible news it is left with her and her single-mum Viv (Angela Mc Kinney) to deal with things. Also starring Davut-Sebastian Atterbury as the estranged father Ken and hapless musician Monkey. Davut played Colonel Redfern to great acclaim in Look Back in Anger. This new cast has worked hard under Alex’s direction to produce a roller coaster of a show full of laughter and emotion which will move any audience member in one way or another.
