The Arsonists

It’s not easy lighting a cigarette these days. Max Frisch’s modern classic from 1958 is presented in a new translation, which premiered at The Royal Court in 2007. Biedermann – successful business man and loving husband – has life under control, or so he thinks. Despite fires becoming something of a problem he is happy to give shelter to strangers and he’ll even help them to store petrol in his attic. An explosive conclusion seems guaranteed.
