Widely acknowledged as the greatest living British novelist, Ian McEwan has written his first opera libretto for Music Theatre Wales. Brimming with all the hallmark elements of Mcewan’s work – deluded, destructive passion and lives altered forever by a tragic error of perception and understanding – For You is another masterwork from a writer at the height of his powers.
Inspired by the text, celebrated composer Michael Berkeley has written some of his most passionate and theatrical music to date.
