Our Man in Havana

This specific production does not yet have a description, but the play itself does:

Adaptation by Clive Francis of Graham Greene’s 1958 novel.

Wormold, a British vacuum cleaner salesman living in 1950s Cuba is struggling to keep up with the increasingly expensive wishes of his teenage daughter. So when the UK Secret Service asks him to become their ‘man in Havana’ he can’t afford to refuse. There’s just one problem… he doesn’t know anything!

Rather than forfeiting his new job and the large income that goes with it Wormold begins to recruit fictitious sub-agents and concocts a series of intricate stories so his superiors don’t get suspicious. But soon these stories prove to be closer to the truth than Wormold could have ever imagined, when his imaginary agents start to disappear …
