Waiting for Godot
there is one performance of this Samuel Beckett play, on June 25th 1956, listed on p59 of John Cresswell’s book ‘The Story of a suburban theatre, the Streatham Hill theatre’. This date is shortly after the play’s first production in English, directed by Peter Hall at the Arts Theatre in London (followed by transfer to the Criterion Theatre). I went to the June 25th performance as a 17 year old student. I want to know if it was the Peter Hall production, with the London cast.
