The Phantom of the Opera
The original production was forced to close on the 16th March 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Performances resumed from the 27th July 2021. In April 2021 in an interview in the “Daily Telegraph” Cameron Mackintosh promised a “more opulent” version of the show, based on the touring production, to be directed by Seth Sklar-Heyn. It was also announced that the orchestra numbers would be reduced from 27 players to 14 taking advantage of today’s technology.
