In the living room of a pleasant house in a university town outside of London, Devlin, threatened by his wife Rebecca’s recollections of an abusive ex-lover, questions her relentlessly in his need for a single truth. Pinter’s fascinating play draws us into a compelling world where two people intimately explore past memories. What happens when you ask your partner revealing questions about their previous lover? Will the answers create a better understanding, or reveal emotional barriers?
