Article19 presents Yasmina Reza’s award winning play
After a successful production of OLEANNA last year, Article19 returns to the OJST with Yasmina Reza’s wonderful play ART. Three life-long friends have their faith in each other shaken when one of them buys an expensive modern art painting which is, ostensively, a white canvas. One questions his friends taste not only in art but also his friends, whilst the other tries to act as mediator worried that his life will fall apart if the 3 friends break up.
To be performed by a talented and enthusiastic young company from Article 19, which is operated through the University of Birmingham. Following the successes of ‘Dangerous Liaisons’ and ‘Confusions’ at the Midlands Art Centre and ‘4:48 Psychosis’ at the Crescent Theatre, Article 19 continues to bring the best of Birmingham University’s theatrical talent off campus and into the city centre.
