Based on the film “Lili” adapted by Helen Deutsch from “The Man Who Hated People”, a short story by Paul Gallico. Shirley Landey nee Sands has been my friend for over 10 years. She had the most wonderful voice even into her eighties. Her song as Rosalie, It Was Always You, was sung inside the box while the magician put swords through.
