For the last Saturday at Windsor, the indisposed Geoffrey Lumsden was replaced, at two hours’ notice, by Geoffrey Sumner, who had recently finished playing the same role in the play’s national tour.
This play was revived at Windsor in 1993 [qv].

Play description
As a protest against a by-pass being built across the parkland of their stately home, that dates back three centuries, Lady Boothroyd threatens to take her life much to the consternation of her husband and family.
