The Phantom of the Opera
The Duke’s Playhouse company migrated from Lancaster to Morecambe for the summer to find out if it was viable to perform shows all year round. They ran a deliberately populist programme repertoire. The Plays: See How They Run by Philip King, Old King Cole by Ken Campbell and a specially commissioned musical adaptation of Gaston Leroux’s Phantom of The Opera by Ken Hill which predated Andrew Lloyd Weber’s version.
