The Caucasian Chalk Circle

Bertolt Brecht’s classic play tells the story of a young servant girl Grusha, embarking on an epic journey to save a child’s life. Along the way we meet bold characters including the judge Azdak who uses the ancient tradition of the chalk circle to decide the child’s fate. Brought to life by a young ensemble of actors, the play is told through a fusion of song, music, puppetry and physical movement, bringing alive this moral yet comic masterpiece. ‘An unmissable experience’ ***** (ThreeWeeks for 3BUGS’ ‘Ophelia Drowning’).
