Critic’s Choice
Four days before the Oxford opening of this show, Siân Phillips was reported to have taken over from the originally cast Moira Lister, as the latter was expecting a baby. (‘Chit Chat’, The Stage 2nd November 1961, page 8.) However, the Oxford premiere actually featured Muriel Pavlow in the role. (‘Carmichael as a Critic’, The Stage 9th November 1961, page 21.)
