Dinner with the Family

Stage premiere of Edward Owen Marsh’s translation of Anouilh’s LE RENDEZVOUS DE SENLIS, first performed on the BBC Third Programme on 4th October 1953.

“This early Anouilh play was first presented at the Playhouse, Oxford, a leading provincial repertory theatre which has become increasingly a try-out ground for the West End … A great deal of the play’s success was owed to the skilful direction by Frank Hauser, and to the delightful acting of the company.” – Theatre World Annual (London) Number 9
