It reached its 1,000th performances on Friday 2nd August 1957. Its producer, Jack Waller, died a few days earlier, on 28th July. (See The Stage 8th August 1957, page 8.)
The final tally at the Strand Theatre was 1,231 performances, with only one cast change.
