Ring for Catty

This was the first West End production by Michael Codron.

Originally produced as REST HOUR at the Theatre Royal, Windsor on 9th July 1951, then as TIME ON THEIR HANDS at the Q Theatre on 6th July 1954. Later formed the basis (in part) of the 1959 film CARRY ON NURSE.

Play description

Originally produced as REST HOUR at the Theatre Royal, Windsor on 9th July 1951, then as TIME ON THEIR HANDS at the ‘Q’ Theatre on 6th July 1954. Later formed the basis (in part) of the 1959 film CARRY ON NURSE, then, more substantially, the 1962 release TWICE ROUND THE DAFFODILS, both films produced by Peter Rogers and directed by Gerald Thomas.
