I Am a Camera

The play that spawned the legendary musical Cabaret.
The hedonistic world of early 1930’s Weimar Berlin. Within his bohemian bedsit, impoverished English author Christopher Isherwood passively interacts with a series of individuals who act as inspiration for his book: interfering landladies, gold digging gigolos, and the rich, but jaded, American playboy Clive.
It is however his muse – the decadent, consciously shocking yet forever childish Sally Bowles – who crashes into his life as the thunderous clouds of Nazism gather overhead and things will never be the same again.
