The Deep Blue Sea

“This production of THE DEEP BLUE SEA has been specially mounted to celebrate the Queen’s Silver Jubilee. It was first produced in the same month as the Queen came to the throne in February 1952.” – original programme note

“The CTC summer production of Rattigan’s THE DEEP BLUE SEA with Sheila Hancock and Clive Francis was offered a West End home for September, but contractual difficulties prevented the move.” – The Stage, 8th September 1977

The last night of this production was followed two days later by the opening of a Triumph Theatre Productions UK tour [qv], starring Honor Blackman.
