The Holly and the Ivy
Patrick Waddington took over when Cecil Ramage fell ill during this production’s very first week. (‘Chit Chat’, The Stage 16th March 1950, page 8.) Over a year later, Cita Crichton took over when Daphne Arthur collapsed during Act II, subsequently playing the part on tour. (‘Chit Chat’, The Stage 5th April 1951, page 8.)
