Observations

Sheila Hancock WAS to have played Candida but didn’t and was replaced by Olive McFarland. Derek Smith played Burgess and Sean Scully played Marchbanks. The arts council reps who have to approve all prods destined to tour Europe as this was, did not like Mr Scullys performance and he was replaced by John Stride. David Dodimead alternated with another actor ( not listed above) in the playing of Morell.
