First presentation at the Westminster Theatre under Robert Donat’s management.
John Vere substituted for Roland Culver in February 1944 and Manning Whiley in June 1944, when both actors were ill.
From 3rd July 1944, this production played a week each at Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle and Leeds, with Irene Vanbrugh, Roland Culver, Esme Percy, Rosemary Scott, John Vere, Rosamund Greenwood, Emil Kildare and John Codner retained from the London cast.
