George and Margaret
In August 1938, the original West End company, with no variations, moved from Wyndham’s to the Piccadilly, via Streatham and Golders Green. The Piccadilly run was at popular prices, and was followed by three final tour dates, two of them revisiting Streatham and Golders Green.

Play description
Written in 1935 by out-of-work actor Gerald Savory. After a one-performance try-out at the Strand Theatre by the Repertory Players, it subsequently opened at Wyndham’s Theatre and then transferred to the Piccadilly Theatre. As in WAITING FOR GODOT, the title characters never manage to arrive.
