Written in 1935 by out-of-work actor Gerald Savory.
After a one performance try-out at the Strand Theatre by the Repertory Players it subsequently opened at Wyndham’s Theatre and then transferred to the Piccadilly Theatre.
Like “Godot” the title characters never manage to arrive.
