“For their Christmas production at the Royal, Bristol Old Vic are presenting a swinging revival of Ben Travers’s Aldwych Theatre farce, THARK. The fact that this 40-year-old piece does go with a swing by 1967 standards is due not only to the brisk pace maintained by John David’s production, but also to the inventiveness of the business, and to the actors’ achievement in finding subtlety in the lines which appeals to modern audiences.” – The Stage, 4th January 1968
